Email Chess

Hi

I work for a company that is very strict about its staff accessing the internet. So almost all websites are 'Red Screened' and not accessible. I wish to play chess using email as I can access this. Is there a programme that will display a chess board, track moves and allow me to make a move and then post back to my opponent?

Any advice will be gratefully received.

One can infer that you wish to find a way to play on company time, which might be ethically questionable.

Hi Rubygabbi

Thank you for your response to my post. I'm not worried about the ethics because I get paid for an 8 hour day and I spend up to 12 hours or more working without extra pay. Also I'll probably be making one or two moves a day so I don't expect to take too much time.

Best wishes

OK, another thing you could do which avoids the technical problems altogether is simple for the two of you to e-mail your next moves in notation. Assuming you'd rather not play blindfold, you could set up the position with a pocket magnetic set or with chess software on a hand-held device.
