En passant and casual chess players

You ever play a game with someon and they disbelieve you about en Passant? More so than castling, it has to be the most unknown rule in chess.

I had someone on this site accuse me of cheating because of EP.  He even threatened to report me to the admins :)

I don't really worry about it. If someone doesn't know about en passant, then I can beat them without using en passant.

And you can usually tell way before the game comes to a point where the issue comes up.

What I've encountered much more often than people who don't know about en passant, is beginners who just learned the en passant rule and are misinterpreting it. For example, in this position:

They might play exd5 (which is slightly better than the first example).
