One must click on the "en passant enable" button.
[EDIT: an attempt at humor, the computer will allow the move as long as it is made correctly.)
Jo...Pulpo, stop trolling me, man...this is my subject.
And, futhurmore, if you u r thinging of counteracting bngcld attack, the transvestite opening will rock your dubious plans!!!
Now all you need to understand is to never resign, no matter what.
Don't listen to him. Resign as quickly as you can. Especially if you play me.
So... is that how you made it to FM?
The special "en passant" button must be activated.
[EDIT: Joke...there is no button; en passant is automatically enabled if the move is made correctly.)
I am the original poster of this thread. I thought I finally understood the rule and have been using it successfully and today I find out a few months after my original post there is a special "en passant" that button must be enabled. I am more confused now and realize this is not a game for me. I have decided to quit chess. I am going to dust off the checker board set in my closet and try to find an online checker website. I wish everyone well in their chess career.
I tried to move a peasant en passant, (please check my e-mail game against mhoff on 8/27/14), but the server did not allow to move the figure in that way.
Do you know, if there is a special way to click on the figure, or something else you have to enter in order the machine accepts "en passant" moves?.
Or could you please tell me, where on this site somebody can explain it to me?
Thank you
Am I wrong, or your intention was to take the b pawn en passant in move 25? If so, your c pawn should have been in c4, no in c3. The en passant rule allows you to take an enemy pawn when it moves two squares forward, like it woul have move only one. But if your pawn are already in its 6th rank, the enemy pawn will escape anyway by moving one or two squares forward.
To take en passant you only have to put your pawn in the square the enemy pawn would have been ocupping if it would have moved only one square forward.
Oye, ahora recuerdo que eres mexicano/a. No sé si me estoy explicando bien, estoy un poco tocado... ;)
Don't listen to the trolls, there's no such button. En passant is a rule.
I am original poster and should have NEVER added another post to this thread and for that I apologize. The only reason I did was someone said "I hope the original poster doesn't see this thread" When I originaly posted, I didn't undertsand en passant and played it the wrong way for many years because I was taught it wrong. I thank the many players who took the time explaining en passant. Many beginning players are obviously still confused by the posts so shame on the person who posted about hitting a button. All he did is create more confusion for players already confused. I apologize again for adding fuel to the fire.
I am sorry, Empathy 1.
And to anyone else who I may have caused confusion to.
I was kidding around, referring to your original post, where you mentioned a button for en passant. Yes, if you make the move properly, the computer will accept the move automatically.
Please accept my apology...I did not mean to cause any confusion to anyone who is still learning about that rule.
Syd
[EDIT: I meant post #21 where the "special button" was mentioned, not the O.P.]
I hope the OP is not checking his thread.
