Engine adjustment! And how to be better!

Cool! I'm amazed that's possible - I'd ask how it's done, but I believe it's forbidden to discuss the details of cheating on this site

This guy was asking a serious question. Most replies were, to put it politely, just off track. I posted, a while ago, that my engines analysis shows "better" moves that appeared downright stupid. Who knows, or cares, if its ignoring issues in the first 29 moves, because there is a slightly bigger problem on move 30, that would never eventuate. Analysis is a learning tool. It is useless if it effectively says, "Ha ha, 30 moves ahead, you could be in a fraction more trouble, -if the other guy plays perfectly till then", and never saying why. That is absolutely no good for understanding. Much better if an engine thought just 2 or 3 moves ahead of your own ability, so you can see what you missed, actually understand it, then improve after that knowlege.
C'mon guys, lets stick to the point in answering these problems.
I "assume" that because nobody actually answered the question, Chess.com does not have the ability to adjust the depth level of its engines and we must either accept or look elsewhere.
I hate cheats too, and if this is why the feature is not available, then we are all suffering from these  cheats. Good on you triggerlips for tracking them down. Perhaps we should all make a sport of this, to eliminate these universally hated cheats.
