In every game, sports, or even relationship there will be cheaters. Chess is no exception. My friend using cheats to redeem his losses so that his rating is always at 1400ish and he never got caught. He isnt using it to climb though, only to redeem his losses.

I'm pretty sure I've came across at least two or three since my few days here as well. It must be rife.

What value is a 1400 rating if it can't be maintained legitimately?

And where do you wanna go to? Online there is no place without cheaters. The only solution is you local chess club. Or abandon the game.
