If you suspect that one of your opponents is cheating then report them. Don't post in the forums. Nothing good comes out of these cheating threads.
Enines must be used more often (cheating) in 10 minute bracket than 30 minute
Do you have an engine yourself OP? If so analyze the games and if you see repeated computer moves report them and get the s.o.b. banned.
On the internet, no matter what game is played a lot of people will only play the game to cheat and troll and such.
I don't see why it matters on this site. I even see users at 900-100 blitz that do it. They will be destroyed in the beginning and make horrible mistakes. Then there is a sudden break of a little minute, and then they start plating really well with no more breaks and you loose. It doesn't matter to me, I don't really care if I play some games against engines. Your raating goes up anyway again, if it is "artificially" low, due to being beaten by a lot of cheaters in a row, you'll get more points for beating people above your artificial low leven, and then voila you are back on a rating that reflects your abilities.
I am very familiar with the F4 opening as white, I know that most players in my bracket are not used to it. I use a lot in 30 minute games.
What I've noticed is that 1600-1800 rated players in 30 minutes games seem to play rather "confused" against it, and since I've studied the opening, I am familiar with all the strongest variants for the first 10-15 moves.
However, in the 10 minute bracket, I see 1000-1200 either get ANNILHATED by the opening, or, in 5 second interveals, make absolutely PERFECT moves against it. I very much doubt that 1000-1200 players in 10 minute bracket are this clever and experienced vs the F4 opening as 1600-1800 players in the 30 minute bracket.
It should be noted that before they start making perfect moves every 5-10 seconds, there's usually a LONG delay (sometimes 30-45 seconds) between their 1st and 2nd move, 2nd or 3rd move.
It appears that the mode between speed chess and regular chess is broken on chess.com by cheaters. The 10 minute timer gives them long enough to setup the computer when they are in trouble, in fact I can't tell you how often these baddies get into trouble, and then start playing godlike.
So one must ask: How can lower rated players on a shorter clock play better than higher rated players on a long clock against an unusual opening?
