No, not at all! And actually, after the topic was brought up, I was wondering: why aren't there any internet EQ tests? So I did a quick yahoo search, and turns out there are. I might try one and see how it goes.

good luck

I just took one actually because it sounded interesting. But it was kind of crappy in my opinion. I don't think the questions really did a great job of linking to the very general measures of EI (Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social-Awareness, Relationship Management). It just scores you from 1 to 10 in each of those categories. It's kind of vague as to what any of those "attributes" mean anyway. But that's just my take, kind of crappy. I realize this isn't an official EQ test, just an online version with 40 questions.

badger_song

The OP has recently been spotted discussing "EQ"...

I have two simple things to suggest, you can begin with your neighborhood, ask yourself how useful you.are in your neighborhood,do they like you as their neghborhood,do they greet and smile at you when you meet them, secondly you count how many friends you have and how many enemies you have,if your friends is much more then your enemies means you're a good person but if your enemies is zero you are kind of a spritiual man or a wise man

I like this quote:

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

There's also one on many enemies. It's always good to know who you are dealing with. That's mine.

that's your choice,to me I don't need enemy to stand up for something,in fact you can not accomplish anything in life without supports from the others starts with famiy a mother a wife and so on

I don't know what version you took, but in the one I found I was asked to select my agreement or disagreement (from 5 options - strongly agree to strongly disagree) with several statements (e.g. "I am good at recovering from setbacks," "I handle criticism well"). Essentially you're asked to rate yourself, and you know what the "correct" answers are. I'm guessing that the one you took is similar, because I can't imagine how else an EQ test could be conducted over the internet. And if that's the case, then there's an inherent problem with online EQ tests, because unlike in IQ tests (which already have enough problems), you know how to obtain as a high a score as possible.

It's like every post you make is a new attempt to say the most stupid thing in the most stupid way you can imagine.

Nah, your show. I'm just en passant, like everyone else. Use a condom. The world doesn't need another you.

If IQ tests were like that, instead of answering each problem, it would just ask you, do you think you could solve this problem? :) And you could just say yes every time and you're a genius!

Anyway mine was a little different. I had to pick two different choices, that best described how I was, like "I like to take action" vs. "I like to look at each option carefully." So it's different in that, usually each choice you make will rate you higher in one category and lower in another.

The_Ghostess_Lola

Hope this helps !....

High EQ is a mystical gift....not really learnable. Noone really knows who's gonna get it either. It's vertical (but not genetic), but it's way-way more important than IQ.

IOW's, orders aren't taken from the high IQ'ers. They're taken from EQ masters.

What do you mean by vertical? And surely you can't be serious that it's not genetic. That's a ridiculous thing to say.

like learning chess books,it won't work unless one transfers it on the board and when playing sometimes new knowledge comes through one's head
