I do not agree at all with: ... "Chess actually goes one step further in that it will reduce your level of EQ over time as you spend more and more time removed from real life. " ... when you play a face to face game in a simple game your experimenting a lot of emotions and that will train your EQ... I need to read all the article, first I thing, sorry ;-)
