I've posted games that I have won, and i usually put the rank and not the name (because the name truely doesn't matter)
Etiquette for revealing your opponent's handle when posting a game
It is so not cool to ask someone's SAT score.
For the record, I once interviewed at a company where I had to fill out a TON of information, including my SAT score. I considered ditching the application right there, but went forward with it because the company, up until then, was cool.

It is somewhat impolite yes, although there is no law or rule about it. But I mentioned it because it was mentioned earlier in the thread.
The few games I have posted I have removed my opponent's name. Wasn't pointing out any glaring blunders or anything but still, it seemed the polite thing to do.
I suppose if someone posted a game I was in and was going on about the fool they were playing that would be rude. Overall though it doesn't really matter all that much.

In this blog...I show how retardedly I can play against two opponents. I remember wanting to bang my head into a wall when I wrote that blog. It cured me of a lot of chess insecurities. Try it.
*Vow, psychoanalysis on the cheap.
I don't think that anyone suggested that posting games without opponent's permission while citing the handle is a crime or that it should be prohibited, only that it is somewhat impolite. That this doesn't bother you is not very surprizing. And your thinking that if there is no law or rule about it then it must be okay is staggeringly profound. What was your SAT again ?
You are transparently looking for a way to lash back at what I identified as your misuse of logic...please see RC Woods's analysis of your nonsense. I didn't have his patience to address every thoughtless misstep of yours.
When I said I post my blunders, you felt the need to make the empty remark that you "thought" games were to be posted only if they were interesting or instructive. I merely said...no such concept...rule...law...exists. We post for any reason we want.
Try not to get emotional...it will help you.

Fair enough.
The only reasonable answer to that question, of course, is "higher than yours".

I guess so. If there was a rule that people can only post what is interesting or instructive you would be prevented from posting altogether.
Oh my god. That guy is so dumb. I just referred to posting "games", not posting altogether. What is wrong with you?

For personal insults there are 'rules' about that so I suggest that you refrain from them. It's not my fault that you seem incapable of understanding an example or analogy.
