What ever happened to chess etiquette. There is very little of it on this site. No one says GG. After people win, they make highly disparaging and derogatory comments, not showing an ounce of sportsmanship. I don't get it. A lot of ***holes on this site.

Sad but true. Things do get a lot better at higher rated levels but it still happens all over the site.

They do try to police things and just the other day, a complaint about abusive language in a thread called Unfounded Accusations brought about the muting of a particularly bad sport.

The OP didn't miss out an *, ****holes is just the British spelling.

There are too many cynical/paranoid members here that take offense to what where intended as positive comments.  Their sarcasm detectors are stuck in over-drive, so they can't believe a stranger could possibly be kind.

if you want to say gg after you lost, most people would not mind. If you just demolished someone, would they think it is a GG? What about you just beat someone on time in a lost postion? So to keep it simple, don't say anything is fine. or if you want to say thanks for the game, i guess that's fine.
