Unfounded Accusations

Today I was playing a decent standard game with a player rated similarly to myself. I had a good position, probably about equal to his, and from that I was playing tactically well. Typically, when playing well my opponent will congratulate me or say nothing. Today was no different until this game. I forked his queen and rook and my opponent had the audacity to accuse me of using an engine to accompany me in my game. Firstly, a simple fork two moves out isn't much of an accomplishment, more just negligence on their part. Secondly, playing with sore losers is never a good time. I'm not sure of the number of people that will see this post but for those of you that do, please be a constructive member of the community rather than a destructive member. Unfounded accusations are annoying and do nothing for anyone. If your opponent is playing well, either have something nice to say about it, or don't say anything at all.

If you look at the notes page of the guy you were playing, he evidently accuses everyone who beats him of cheating. I have never seen so many negative comments on one profile.

This is a clear case of abuse. You should report him. I find it hard to believe he would be allowed to behave this way and stay on the site.

Be sure you cite the 48 pages of notes, mostly negative, about what this guy does.

Whatever you do, don't let it get to you. He obviously exults in making people crazy.  Many posters reported that he blocks them, which undoubtedly drives them wild.

MrHumberfloob

Thank you! I was unaware that there was an option to report players on this site. I'll get started on that now. Behavior like this is such a bother.

I didn't actually accuse MrHumberfloob of cheating; I just said that his style was like a computer.  Also, I don't appreciate you outing me by inviting everyone to my notes page.  You tried to be slick by not actually naming me but by hiding the link to my notes page in your comment.  You should be the one who gets reported.

That's because notmtwain and others, know how to read a thread.Surprised What are going to report him for?Undecided  Using tricks that the site allows you to use?  "Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids".Wink

I have no doubt that you have already done that.  Anyone who has survived this long driving people crazy and leaving the proof plastered all over his profile must have a method all worked out that stands up to amateur attempts to report him. How many people have tried at this point?

Que sera sera.

wanmokewan

... *takes bait* And how, pray tell, did you come to the conclusion that he was "playing like a computer"?

JerryKasporav

I knew a Nancy Humberfloob years ago, are you related?

I'm not a crybaby like MrHumberfloob.  I don't feel the need to create forums and bash other players just because I had an argument with them in live chat.

RonaldJosephCote

Your not sapost to post notes on your OWN pageLaughing   Let me put it this way;Undecided  When you have more notes--48pages, THAN friends--13     SealedThat's not a good defenseSurprised

JerryKasporav

RJC, you post like a computer.  You're posts are very bot-like.

RonaldJosephCote

So you can bash players in live chat but not in forumsUndecided   Have you ever sent a trophy to someone you lost too?

Who said I bashed anyone in live chat?!  I said we had an argument!

JerryKasporav

Aha! No, you want room 12A, next door.

Chessstudentforlife

I find it amazing that some of you people obsess over me.  You need to get a life!

RonaldJosephCote

You accused him of using an engine, in live chat. And this was based upon what ?

MrHumberfloob

Chessstudent, there was no argument. You accused me of using an engine then left the chat. It appears that you do this consistenly when losing. We just ask that you stop.

RonaldJosephCote

We have a life. Shining light on "some" members is what makes this a better site. The OP should be given a medal.

I didn't accuse him of using a chess engine in live chat; I just said that his tactics were strong.  And how would you know what I said to him in live chat if you weren't there?!  You need to shut up because you're just adding fuel to the fire!
