Evaluation Bar question

When I analyze my games, I always see the evaluation bar.  But when I'm playing a game, I never see it.  Is this something that I can turn on and off?  If so, how do I do that?  Also, is it a good idea to see it while playing a game?  I'm thinking it might give me false confidence when I'm ahead and discourage me when I'm behind.  Would appreciate your comments.  Thanks.

You're right. I wasn't really thinking about that. I wasn't thinking about using an engine for looking for the best moves. Just for seeing the evaluation bar. But I guess you can't have one without the other. Thanks for your comment.
