I am a novice in chess and I am learning. How would I play the Evans gambit? I am fond of gambits and I just found the lessons for the Evans gambit in chess.com. I also learned that Bobby Fischer played it. How often did he play it? Also any tips on how to boost rating would be appreciated. I hope you have a nice pair of bishops 👍

The Evan’s gambit is peak, and to learn to play it, I would personally advise GM Simon Williams lessons on the app and the website. I learnt it and though a very fun opening, unless you are over say 1500, it is extremely hard do utilise all of the tactics in the opening, but it might catch an opponent off guard.

It is a great opening. You will have a lot of fun, and learn a lot. I will advice you to learn from just playing and learn from your games.
