Take a look at the end of this game, played about a week ago.
The time control was 40 moves in 90 minutes with a 30 second increment, then the rest of the game in 60 minutes with a 30 second increment.
It wasn't blitz.
Time is a factor in every chess game.

Go to Otb play a tournament, get in time trouble you are bound to lose if you dont know how to play blitz. It also helps with calculation. Seeing tactics quickly practicing openings etc. Blitz is one of the most helpful things. Practicing for a tournament? Do blitz to get to play 5 games of standard takes over an hour, blitz 5 games maybe 30 to 15 min depending on the time control.

Btw dont say I am crap because I have a low standard rating. I can get it to 1700 (most likely) but I dont have time and I like to just play against comp hard and just Yolo it. So I lose rating points because I play bullet agaiinst it idk why I do this.

Not all. I am annoyed by people who just take a quote from a strong player and just use it all the time. This is why I don't only look for tactics in blitz i play it looking for tactics positional ideas etc. Even Nakamura got good by playing blitz. ALL THE TIME.

I learn playing correspodence and standard chess. Also I train tactics every day, watch videos etc. Chess rating isnt really important to me it will grow after some time as I study chess, so I am dont worried ....
