Im a chess noob who recently became infuruated with the game. Ive watched a lot of videos and am also reading Chirnevs (?) book "logical chess: move by move" atm.
However, I find that in more or less all games I play, the same things happen. I start with e4 or d4 if white, or counter as black. After that, I develop minor pieces, and then I castle. By now all my pieces are stuck in the center and cant really do anything, so I just push the pawns on the side that is not castled. I find that I have no real plan. Are there any tips or methods as to how I shouls proceed after developing my pieces and making sure i dont move a piece twice, as I find myself stuck in the same positions everytime I try to play "by the book"?
