I have started an experiment where chess, math, technology and art collide. If I am able to encourage others to explore STEM, it is a success! I'd like to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Anyone want to participate?
I used to collect hockey and baseball cards. Collecting the cards got me excited about the teams, players, and games. I had fun sorting, showing off my cards, memorizing all the stats and history they shared. I traded with others to try and make my dream team and played games to try and win cards from others. I’m certain this helped influence my interest in statistics, math and technology (even though the cards themselves were unrelated).
My experiment is to create chess trading cards that might help encourage others to play chess and engage in new ways while they learn more about the game.
I've created a few concepts already. One series focuses on tactical puzzles and another focuses on World Chess Championship Legends (past and present). Love to hear your thoughts and suggestion.
