Well as white, I like to open with f3 followed by g4, but I suppose, in the immortal words of Boris Spassky when asked whether he preferred chess or sex, replied "It depends on the position".

There are many variations of different openings where white plays e4 and later f4. It is usually a more aggressive way to play.
