Fairness in the Chess Community

Hey there, players!

The frequency of unfair games is disturbing, and, despite the fact that I am generally not in charge of this website, I want to make sure games initiate/conclude fairly. To make this happen, it's a requirement to refer to the Chess.com Fair Play guidelines:

The following picture displays an enough amount of the chess community guidelines.

Instant game abortion, resignation, etc. is understandably unacceptable. Let's try to initiate games only when we are ready to, unless we prefer account restrictions.

Let's make sure we play fairly in this chess community.

Based upon my personal experience with this issue, I have received a disturbing amount of chess.com reports informing about the fact that one of my opponents had violated the Fair Play Policy. The frequency of messages like this has persuaded me into forming a forum referring to the requirement of meeting the guidelines.

For players who become a victim of these violations: refer to the highlighted button on this screenshot:

Afterwards, you will come across a screen that looks like this:

Press the highlighted button saying: 'Report Abuse'

You will come across a screen displaying several issues, but click on the one saying 'Fair Play and Cheating. Then press 'How do I report someone?'

After, refer to the provided video to help guide you through the instructions.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance to make sure our chess community is fair.

Best regards,
