Dear chess.com friends,

Tonight, I played against [Removed: please don't name alleged offenders in the public forums]. I had a massive material advantage of a Queen, two bishops and a Rock. Only 3 moves away from checkmate my opponent just stopped playing forcing me to wait 15 minutes for termination of time without any notice. I used the chat to give him a few warnings without any response. Is this acceptable behavior at Chess.com?

That's called stalling, and no, it's not acceptable - please report them by following the instructions in https://support.chess.com/article/209-how-do-i-report-someone, but also please don't name them in the public forums, as those sorts of allegations aren't helpful either.

I think the iPad app may work differently from how it's described in that link, which probably relates to the website. If it's like the iPhone app. try clicking on their avatar picture and see if you get a menu starting with "Chat" - one of the options there should be "Report" and then take you into the relevant screen.

I always play on laptop(Win10,Firefox), so not sure about other devices. But when I give them the thumbs down/badsport in chat window, it automatically gives me a button to "Report" with.  Rarely give them that and even rarer to report, but bad stalling definitely deserves it. You are doing a service to other good players like yourself by keeping these folks in line.
