But why can't the dark ruler switch positions with the castle? 

What do you mean by "his castle"?

Yesterday, I discovered a glitch where the ruler and castle can switch places on the board. 

That is not a glitch. It is just castling in Chess960

What is casting? Also, sir, I think you counted wrong. In the board, I see three moves until black king is attacked by white queen.

You cannot castle while in check

Also, castling isn't even legal.
