I had a 30 year old six pack of Billy beer once, but somebody offered me good money for it and I sold it. It sucked anyways.

Is there a really a problem with draws? In top level football too games are often drawn after 120 minutes of play and decided on penalties. Those who consider this unsatisfactory have suggested such things as using larger goals or scrapping the offside rule but these changes would ruin the game as we know it.
did it ruin chess as we know it when they shortened the tournament and match time controls from 40 moves in 2 1/2 hrs to 40 moves in 2 hours? the history of chess if full of rule changes. when they started allowing castling that did not ruin chess either.

There’s been plenty of changes in football too like not being able to pass back to the goalkeeper or the scrapping of the goalkeeper four-step rule or changes to the offside rules. But these changes have not changed the basic character of the game.
Ok, just for fun. Each player has a wild card which they can implement one hour before a particular game. This card can force the opponent to play a predetermined first move. So if I am playing with the white pieces and play e4 then maybe I can force my opponent to answer e5, d5, c5 or Nf6. If I am playing the black pieces then maybe I can force my opponent to play e4, d4, c4 or Nf3.

Personally, I feel like Magnus would win
and this doesnt change the basic character of the game of chess, just like those rule changes didn't change the game of football. what did change the character is having the classical chess championship decided by rapid or blitz games.
moreover, has every game of championship football for the last 5 years ended in a draw?
