He says he needs to unwind after the match. Some people say he doesn’t want to face Magnus.

I wouldn't want to face Magnus either until I had somewhat perfected myself in a format preferred by the World #1. Gukesh may not be ready this year, but by next year he will be far more prepared, and may be capable of taking him on upon his home turf. Everyone senses that Gukesh really is not ready yet in anything but in the classical time controls, but that as he gains experience this hurdle will also be handled well.

However, I see Gukesh is still scheduled to play in the Tata Steel this January.
