With 2 more draws in game 2, we move to the tiebreaks for Wednesday. Still liking Lagrave and Tomeshevsky as the two winners.

not sure what groups the teams will be in, but I would like to see Brazil, Spain, France (my dark horse team) and Germany.  I think Brazil will probably win.

I predict Spain will win, Germany second.

What's the tie break in soccer called? It's not called "the tie break" is it? I'm gonna be like "d'oh!" if it is.

Actually either Germany or Italy will be second, and the other will be third.

Since the games were all drawn this final 4 have to go to the shoot off tomorrow. I guess it's the soccer equivalent in chess.

We can be assured that Nigel Short will shoot off his mouth for several hours.

Somebody tweeted something like asking if Nigel was happy Gata Kamsky lost. I didn't go back & look at the replay (it was right there on the screen while both the commentators saw it) but I'm unsure if there was a response to it like they comment on all the other tweets. & did Kamsky come for his after game interview at all? I would like to see the demeanor between Nigel & Gata.

Nigel's problem is more with Gata's father, but there's no love lost between them. They do not show all tweets (they've shown none of mine). The ones they show are usually answered.

There is no such thing in a normal soccer game. After 90 minutes is the game over.

In special matches can you have overtime (2 times 15 minutes). If it is not decided after that you will have penalties. Instead of overtime playing all minutes there has been some time the rule of the golden goal. But somehow that did not work out well.

If the first two sets of games can be seen as overtime, the third and fourth set of two games as the golden goal and the armageddon game as penalties, then would be my guess that Kramnik will win in overtime and Andreikin wins penalties.

Does anyone know if there is a site you can bet on these chess game outcomes?  If so, please list it. Thanks in advance.

Lagrave loses with the white pieces with a huge tactical blunder. Lagrave must've not calculated Nxf3+ in the variation.   Lagrave has to win now. Yikes!

I am afraid Andreikin will just sit and win the very last game, by time...

He is the Antichrist of chess.

They are all great (strong) players. But I am not moved by Andreikin's games so far.
