Finally breakthrough into 1800 blitz ratings(200 points in 7days)

Hi chesslovers out there! (just wanted to share my journey)

It was 8 years ago when i started to join here(2010) . I thought i am strong enough to beat everybody but i was wrong..

in just few weeks ive breaks into 1400 ratings. then after hitting that im stuck in a rut. have a hard time beating 1500's+. dont know why.. then i start to think that i am not that good in my fave game. then i started to do research. 

somebody told me study TACTICS?! i also read that chess is 99% tactics. so i bought my first book (303 Tactical Chess Puzzles by Fred Wilson & Bruce Albertson).

after solving few puzzles everyday..and finished chapters 1& 2 . solve puzzles before a game.

Ive finally breakthrough into 1600. I was so amaze .. and then here we go again.. 1700's + gave me a headache.. that i almost quit chess.. i started to buy more books: 

then my ratings goes up to 1765 up about a year..

then for almost 6 years ive been stuck from 1600-1700. i said to myself ..youll never gonna make it to 1800. 

why??

-have a full time job,kids and im old..

after sometime of vacation to chess.  i found myself here again because I REALLY LOVE THIS GAME! 

start to play, play more and more.. but went downhill.. to even 1500's.. every game i said to myself.  JUST ENJOY THE GAME! 

 then came to the point why am i losing a lot? 

started to analyze where id go wrong.. in OPENING? MIDDLEGAME? OR ENDGAME? OR MAYBE IN TACTICS.?

 FOUND AT THAT I LOST BECAUSE:

1. I have a bad internet connection. very poor here in the philippines..(most of the time)

2. tactics! 

this 2018 i switch to a best internet connection.. and i study more tactics( Winning Chess Tactics for Juniors and Lev Alburt Chess Training Pocket Book.) also opening book for reference Nick defirmian MCO14..

results:

1. good games .started enjoying the game a bit more!

2. ratings follows.

3 .finally breakthrough to 1800(class A club player) in 7 days april 18-24,2018.. 

last night the CURSE is over. Thanks to all my friends here . I always watched your games especially those who started the same year with me(2010)..

What age did u start playing chess? I've started seriously playing chess when I was around 19 so hopefully thats not too late to reach 1800.

@choksiribeam, i started playing chess when i was 10. End up playin due to work when i was 17. I was 25 when i discover chess.com in 2010 and made my return in chess. Yeah its never too late! hardwork & passion pays.

One more thing. "Play opponents 50 points lower than your rating and 200 points above, because at that level they will punished you if you made a mistake or inaccuracy"-Heisman.
