Find your REAL ELO rating: ELOMETER.NET then post here the results

Mine showed 2274, +/-100 or so when I took the test a couple weeks ago. I'm inclined to agree with IM Bartholomew: the test lowers the result for really strong players, and inflates it for weaker ones. No way I'm playing at above 2150.

It's one of those internet things where everyone is awesome. Like when Cletus comes stumbling in, a little drool on his bottom lip, tabacci in his chaw, saying "Yiyuck, I don't took one of dem IQ tests on that introput puter thing too. I done scored a 185! I is a genis!"

I wasn't even serious and just did blunders and illegal moves.. If it was accurate it would've shown 200 or something.

Isn't that a bit low for you?
I suppose so. While I had no idea at some problems, I probably played around 15-20 tactics without much thinking (maybe 5 seconds) and most of the tactics within 15 seconds. Could have missed quite some of them.

I think I was at the site that had this one time. Someone was pushing this thing. 1300s were getting 2400, and the guy who was pushing was saying "You have the knowledge, it just hasn't translated over the board yet " I was thinking to myself, "the hell he does."
It's snake oil.
It was on the honor system. Tactics Trainer separates the comp users from the real players.

This thing is very bad, it always estimates me at over 2000 and I am only 1850
A year and a half later, and I'm well over 2200. Maybe I've improved a lot, lol (my USCF is almost 2000 now so it's possible)

I as drun,k nowhere near that good.
Doubt I'm that strong but it is the same as my tactics rating on here and other sites so it is at least consistent. It is a cool test tho. Took me about an hour, definitely recommend it.

Thanks for providing this interesting link!
Nice job Mick! I got a 1601 and it's the lowest on this thread lol. There is no way I want to try it again though, as it was taking time into consideration and many times I realized I made an error in judgement after submitting my answer. The fact that it didn't even tell you anything about how well you answered each question was a bit unnerving, but I suppose that is due to too much Tactical Training use.
