Fisher and d5

Hello. This is my first post here but I have been lurking for a few weeks. I saw an analysis of a Fisher game somewhere where he focuses on gaining a strong knight at d5 against the Sicilian, then uses it to launch an attack at the king (castled kingside). I would like to review that game but I can't seem to find it again. Anyone know the game I am speaking of?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I am not familiar with this game.  You may be able to find it by searching a database that allows you to screen for Fischer as White, Sicilian, and positions with a Knight at d5.  Good luck.

I do know another game which may interest you.  Smyslov-Rudakovsky Moscow 1945.  Smyslov uses a Knight outpost at d5 to great advantage in this game.  It is annotated by Smyslov in his book "My Best Games of Chess".

Smyslov-Rudakovsky is also the first game in Weeramantry's Best Lessons of a Chess Coach. A deceptively simple game.

Thank you for the kind replies, although I haven't been able to locate it again. It had an analysis of the game which I felt was quite instructive. I guestimate I am about a 1200 player (not blitz though), and I am particularly interested in learning some methods of dealing with blacks e pawn so I can own d5.

I need to bookmark more... I always did learn the hard way Embarassed

This is a very regulare theme in many sicillians, so even if you won´t find just this game again, odds are that you´ll find some other games with similiar themes.

One game that comes to mind is Fischer-Bolbochan (I can't remember the tournament or date, but there won't be that many games against Bolbochan). It's an unusual game in that Fischer plays the Adams Attack (I think it's called) - 6.h3 against the Najdorf.
