Playing fast time controls on chess.com has become near impossible. And it's clearly the site's fault; I (try to) play 3/2 and half the time my time disappears - I can tell it's not in my head when every lagging move is registered as having taken exactly 4.4 seconds. That's 4.4 seconds for any move that actually took less than 2 to make. There is obviously a degree of lag for other moves as well, which means that getting in time trouble automatically means I lose, unless I can pre-move everything.
This has obviously been happening across different computers and internet connections, and for far too long now. It's not much to ask for a user experience that is at the very least not infuriating.
Fix The Connection Issues
In my case, these connection problems have got much better. No more lost games because of "you have disconnected ... etc." I do observe, though, that my opponents often suffer from a multitude of disconnect / reconnect events.
I take my last post back. I just lost a game because of "you have disconnected and the game will auto-resign".
I'm having connection issues while playing chess on this website. I play Overwatch which is a downloaded game which requires one of the best updated computer specs today to play, and which requires a good internet connection. When I'm playing Overwatch, I never have any connection issues while playing. So, if I'm not having any connection issues in a game that requires one of the best computer specs today, but I'm having a connection issues in a browser game which can play on a horrible computer, my connection issue in that browser game must not be a problem of mine. Rather, it's highly likely to be a problem with the browser game itself.
So, what I'm trying to say is that there is a problem with the chess.com servers, and it needs to be fixed. I want to make the developers of chess.com aware of this, because I don't want to play chess on a laggy server.

I'm having a lot of problems every time I play. The computer slows down, connection losses and it is irritating losing when you're winning but they accuse the loss of connection. Too bad, I think they either fix it or many people will move to other sites, including myself

The OP hasn't been online for over a year, so my guess is his issues were never resolved.
Staff used to say that v3 would be faster after v2 was turned off, but i'm not seeing any improvement...
wtf... this is just horrible... internet connection totally fine but game says "connection lost"... anyone knows a fix?
well well... I can see I'm not the only one tired of these site's problems. And it is getting worse and worse, not funny anymore. If no one will do anything despite all those reports, (I did report myself all those crashes already long time ago) next week I quit.
I have the same problem, my connection work but I'm disconnected from the site and I lose the match after 30/40 seconds of disconnection and not after my 150 seconds. Very sad! Could you fix it?
Thanks
I can't log on to online Chess now, how annoying when you pay for it. And also if you not do!
There is some kind of issue right now. There are a number of posts about it.
my internet connection is on now. but when I will try to play live. i have getting error to check internet connection. Please reconnect and try again. but already my conection is working. so what a logic behind this?
what can I do?
I am up to one game in three with the "you have disconnected and the game will end in xx seconds" problem. I play chess on other sites plus bridge on yet other sites, but I only get these connection issues with chess.com. Why don't they say something about it, like "we are taking these problems seriously"?
