I'm tired of paying my diamond membership for a website that is not functioning properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just lost a game on time due to server disconnect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EBowie

I'm just going to keep bumping this to the top!!!  This BS has been going on for too long!!!

yogipoo1

its because of the crash arena thing, idk i think it got hacked personally

Absolutely brutal. Same thing EBowie. I lost a game on time.
EBowie

No, it's because chess.com got greedy, decided to become the online chess monopoly but they don't have the infrastructure to support the growth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

EBowie

GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!

bezzy300472

Meanwhile, we get constant news updates and articles indicating that chess.com is the greatest thing since sliced bread!  Oh yeah?  How about asking your paying customers!?!?

yogipoo1

bro shut up its because chess got popular bc of gothamchess, just actually learn how to use other websites and stop thinking that chess.com is the only thing that exists, there are many other ways to enjoy chess, including playing against someone in real life and touching grass for once (ik crazy), they are trying to build the infrastructure and it has come so suddenly that its not possible for them to do this, if you were put in this situation, think for a second, what would you do?

BUMP

Mugiwara

The other website can host 24 hour long arenas with 20k+ people and doesn't crash. It's free to play and the servers rely entirely on donations, so why does an arena with 4k people crash chess.com?

yogipoo1

just because you lose one game doesn't mean its the end of the world. stop freaking out.

EBowie

@SpotwaChess your post is so moronic I don't even know where to begin

its because that lichess has like what, 40k people on it at once? mh? meanwhile chess.com has over 200K GAMES AT ONCE (500k people on at once)

its because they have more quality graphics, that much graphics really taxes sites

and because there's less people normally online on the other sites

Are the servers down?

...then why did the arena crash chess.com? The other website relies entirely on user donations for server costs. The largest chess website shouldn't be having these problems.

Chris_Rochester

This is pretty ridiculous. Signed up for a tournament, in the middle of second game chess.com just stops responding. Opponents clock runs out and I get credit for a "win." I assume these fake wins will be corrected after the fact?

levis850

Just lost as well "on time". Nice

Yeah, they decided to do a "crash the arena" event and now the servers are dying because of it
