anyone know is this app is available for flip or "non smartphones" in general? I want to downgrade but this is the one app I want to continue to use.

Pretty sure you would need a full smartphone and even the website wouldn't likely work on a flip-phone fully.

Just curious here....even if it did somehow work on a flip phone ....how would you intend to move the pieces?

what you would type in for e4 would be: 33 (pause or # or something like that) 4444 (end move key), if it does not have a slide-out keyboard, it would be very bad for blitz.

I was thinking more like arrow keys or 2468 to select desired piece then the same buttons to select desired move

Go to https://apps4flip.com/

Go to the forums and search for "chess"

You will see a link for a download.  You will also have to go through the instructions to install an app on your flip phone.

I've done it and now have a chess app for my Kyocera Dura flip phone.  It's not perfect, but usable.

Remember to stay safe. Don't use that flip-phone while driving your horse and buggy.
