At your level lots of players arent interested in playing that long games so they go for quick 4 move mates because they are lazy.You will see it less after the 1100 level.You could try filtering your avg opponent rating

Why do so many players go for the Scholars Mate? I have to defend it and attack it so much. 99% of the time I win, but I feel like it doesn't make me a better player. Will I see it less when if rating rises?
