I know that too. CM is the same in Poland and FIDE, but 2300 is different.

My March rating should be 2203, if I get it I'll "report" myself as a titled player to chess.com.

If you have a virtual rating of 2200+ (doesn't have to be published on a list), then you can pay some money to FIDE and get the CM title. Then you can show proof of the title to chess.com to get the title on here. I don't think they'll give you a title on chess.com if you didn't get the actual title, just the rating.

NM exists in a few countries, and probably has different requirements in each country where it exists.

I've read in the FIDE rules that CM, FM or NM had to be published. Only IM and GM have to be virtual.

Oops, I stand corrected.

So I was right?

That difference seems to be only for NM :)

I've heard that to get the GM title it's enough to pass 2500 "virtually" (if you have the norms of course) - that means if you are rated over 2500 after any round of a tournament (like live rating for the top players), you get GM title. Does that also apply for CM, FM, NM and IM? Or does the rating have to be on a rating list?

In some tournaments, if you can place well, you'll automatically be awarded a title. It's only certain ones though. I'm pretty sure that placing first in the world open makes you a GM, but I could be wrong.

I know one of them is the World Senior Championship, which Larry Kaufman used in I think 2008 to get his GM title.
