Wasn't Sir Walter Raleigh "such a stupid git" according to John Lennon?

"I'm so tired, I think I'll have another cigarette. And curse Sir Walter Raleigh, he was such a stupid get."
What do we have then ? Take notes ....
Something foul is going on.
There are prints of feet in the woods.
Also, there is an unusual smell whenever the prints are there.
There must be something in the woods.
And it could be horrible.
Ok what have you got ?
FOUL FEET SMELL SOMETHING HORRIBLE
I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! YOU #*^&!%^#$%*. Oh
I'm sorry. I thought you WANTED foul language.
Nevermind

The song is officially attributed to Lennon & McCartney. Awesome song. I'm a bit of a Beatles fan. In fact, the tags on my Accord V6 are NJ, "DBEATLS."
Futz, now my throat's sore from screaming the lyrics.

Lou
It is not a drug reference. Sir Walter Raleigh was largely responsible for the exportation of tobacco fromm America to the world. Thus they curse him for "another cigarette."

Thanks for that. I had always believed he invented the bicycle http://www.raleigh.co.uk/
Raleigh is the capital city of my state (which also has Roanoke Island), named for Sir Walter Releigh who introduced tobacco from here to England. There's also a tobacco brand named after hm.
It's really interesting to me how a good number of chess players are so foul with their comments. I would think a game like this would attract intelligent players, but it never ceases to amaze me how whiney and annoying some are.
I wonder what is going through their skull to be so obnoxious and why come to a chess site to unleash their stench?
Sure do. I don't drive and don't travel much but I was in Mt. Airy (the city on which the ficitional town is based) a few weeks ago.
I went to the Andy Griffith museum, but more interesting to me (since I've never even saw that TV show), I visited the grave of Cheng and Eng, the original Siamese twins, who, btw, were chess players. (see Siamese Chess).
(see Siamese Chess).
For those who don't know, Siam is Thailand.
Thailand's capitol city has the best city name ever.
