Why not free education, free transportation, free food, free medical. We have that already on this planet.

this exists many first world countries to a far greater degree in general compared to the US.  Not to mention higher median incomes too in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Canada...

We are fed up of being lectured by right wing American capitalists always lecturing us on moral philosophy and ethics. You have really no idea what socialism is, serioulsy, you dont. For goodness sake take a look at Norway with its fine socialist tradition which has invested its natural wealth for the benefit of the entire nation resulting in the highest standard of living in the world and compare it with the third world slums in some American cities and now you have the audacity to preach to us about the evils of socialism.  You have NO IDEA what socialism is. People do not mind paying taxes for education, medicine, policing, they want to live in a modern society where people are healthy and educated and safe. Flip sake it's like dragging you from Victorian times to the present day, kicking and screaming with your empty rhetoric about the evils of socialism. Give a turkey away you Scrooge!

I agree with you that many Americans totally don't understand socialism. However, Norway is NOT a good example. They are quite rich and have a relatively small and more homogenized population than the U.S.. So it is much easier for them to implment and succeed with such a system.

Movies and TV is tne next industry to go kablooey due to the internet. Oboy they are gonna loose a lot of turnover.

But ok the movies are just gonna go back to the time where they just had cinemas and couldnt keep selling the same movie on VCR, to television, on DVDs etc. So it might be a good thing for movies.

TV, I guess with time they are gonna have to live from product placement, that way it doesnt matter if they get pirated.

The punk ethos, an amazing concept but the irony of it is that those who professed it became in time idols themselves, thats why Kurt Cobain I think gave it up, he couldn't deal with the disparity of keeping the punk ethos alive and being idolised himself, it appeared to him as hypocrisy either that or Courtney just killed him for his money.

He probably would have ended making duets with Shakira or something even worse anyway...

He tried to create something with meaning thus the unplugged stuff near the end, he genuinely wanted Nirvana to evolve from a three chord grunge band into something more meaningful, but the people wanted Lithium and he became like a performing monkey on an organ grinder, sooo sad.

There is no irony.

The Dead Kennedys ARE NOT the same as Justin Bieber.

Yes but the problem is my logically challenged friend, no one has claimed they are.

In a way, you did by saying it was irony that they became idols. You were inferring that they had become music industry idols. Which, they never did. They became idols, but not because of the music industry.

Therefore, there is no irony.
