Gamble: A Chess Novella

After a *ton* of work and a lot of money spent, my novella Gamble is available for download on Amazon.

It is the story of Sam Horton, a young chess hustler who meets Mortimer Blackwell, an elderly gentleman who offers him a gift like no other.

Sam moves to Las Vegas, NV, and takes the chess and poker world by storm. But at what price? When he meets and falls for Katie, a young and lovely redhead, things spiral out of control.

The fast paced, action packed climax of this story will surely leave you wanting more.

This is not a horror story, but it’s a little eerie in general.  The reason it’s priced at $2.99 and not $.99 is because it’s over twice as long as my regular stuff, and the cost of editing was pretty high.

I feel it’s well worth three bucks, if you have it to spare.  Check it out if you can!  :)

It's good people, read the damn thing already! It's less than the price of a value menu at McDonalds, and will do more for your brain!

LOL, thanks, Hempel.  :D

You may want to consider serializing your book; essentially posting a chapter once a week, preferably on a weekend, on this thread. The benefits of this approach are: 1) you will directly target a relevant readership, posting a chess novel on a chess website, maximizing your chances of securing interested readers, a certain percentage of who will buy the book, 2) providing these sample chapters for free will entice people to give your book a try and may help you land more reviews on Amazon and 3) by posting a chapter once a week you will regularly bump the thread up to the top of the discussion forum, maximizing visibility, and targeting a weekend makes sense as this is when people will generally have the most free time to read a book chapter.
