Anyone know where I can find a list listing all chess game collection books with the author being the player of the topic of the book I just find these books to be so useful.

You might try Dan Heisman's site (DanHeisman.com ?) where he has all his Novice Nook articles stashed.  I know He has some very comprehensive book lists nicely categorized by skill and interest level.  Hope that helps; if you've never seen any of his Novice Nook articles, you will find a treasure trove of practical information from one of the country's top chess coaches.

This list doesn't separate out bio game collections or even game collections but its a good list to be aware of.  If you're interested in something just click and there is your review:

If you're ever up for a more mixed bag, I've heard Steve Giddins 50 Essential Chess Lessons is excellent - especially for around your level of playing strength.  The fifty lesson are in the form of 50 "very instructive" chess games.  Have a copy but have not read it yet so not much help, but it could be something to keep an eye out for.
