That is a question that only you can answer for yourself.
Game Management

I have over 100 going right now..................was 160 about and I've won about 80% so far at least.........partly luck cause my opponent screws up, but I dont recommend that many I'd say 10-20 or 30 even if you make sure a few of them are differnet time lengths, I'd say thats the key I'm lasting with all these games because many are 7-14 days and I just play the 1 or 3 days a move games fast and those ones much slower

I had to set a "maximum number of games" limit on myself at 20. Somehow, I'm always in the 20-30 range tho. My head really starts spinning at 30. I don't know how people like AWARDCHESS can have over a thousand games in progress at one time. I would go insane.

If you hvae a 70-85% win ratio, you are playing against opponents well below your level. Vishy Anand (Current world champion) has a 25% win ratio!
For me, I guess I take about 6 minutes per move average. Some moves will be forced and I will use conditional moves, and some moves will be quick decisions. But some moves will take up to an hour. So I figure, if I can play chess an hour per day, I will play up to 10 games. Just determine how long you take per move, how long you want to play per day, and figure it out. I generally assume that I am going to make one move per day in each game, and anything over that is a bonus (i often make much more than one move per day).
What is a fair amount of games to have ongoing and still give the necessary thought, planning, time and decision making to maintain a 70% to 85% win to 30% to 15% loss ratio? Also playing at a higher level and increasing your skill and rating and being consistent? I usually play about 8 to 12 games and almost without fail sometime during my games I will have 2 to 3 opponents go on vacation so that brings the level down to 10. Lately my record has been on the increase. My wins are a little over 60%, but I have been forunate to have for myself a record number of wins in a row.
