A dependent father could quite easily be with one or other of his children 24 7 or 24 365 - all of his children would still get a Leap Day off, one year in four, with this second option).
24 7 52 is not so bad as the kids would get a whole day off every year (in addition to the Leap Day).
24 7 12 52 365 is ambiguous bordering on meaningless - but, hey, this is Forum discussion!
