Well 5.Nxd5 is just a mistake by black, 5.Na5 and 5.b5 are much better. But anyway ok black makes this mistake, after 5.Nxd5 why would you want to play 6.Qf3? 6.Nxf7 gives white a big advantage but 6.Qf3 Qxg5 is much less clear.

5.Nxf7 gives white a +0.4 and that's the problem, If you face someone who really studied the line you may probably end up a knight down and with no compensation becouse on the FLA is white who have to think deep in order to keep the edge, in the RLA it's the other way around.

But yeah I see your point, the FLA gives more edge (the RLA is +0) but I think I prefer the RLA becouse I can afford not making all best moves.

Interesting option...I’ve played the FLA and Lolli attack (safer and probably more accurate than FLA) for a while against Nxd5.

My question on your version is in the Qxg5 version. I haven’t analysed at all but after 9. 0-0 why not Bh3 with the threat Qg2#? 10. g3 is potentially met by Ne2+ 11. Kh1 whereafter white has to make the attack stick (which I doubt after black plays Qe7) because the material advantage for black is significant after Bxf1 (and potentially Nxc1 following consolidating the material).

Bh3 has no threat becouse the LSB is also protecting g2 happy.png

After Bh3, Nc3 doesn't allow e4 and black can't kick the LSB from that diagonal
