Who doesn’t like gambits? Queen’s gambit, King’s gambit,Blackmar-Diemer gambit.....The list goes on!

I like experimenting with gambits. It really allows you to build center pawns. I hate when my opponent does not except the offering and just defends the piece meant to take the gambit.

The thing is learning about the gambit before using it. I like the Koltanowsky, the Krause variation against 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 and the Steinitz countergambit against the Mason attack. Anyway in all these gambits you get the pawn back or a better postion of your pieces.

Love gambits, especially declined ones with a lot of resulting tension.

For me, I usually analyze what their purpose is. If I think it’s okay, I take.
