I still can't stop blundering in my chess games. Should I call it a day and take a break for a few days?

Don't play chess , just practice tactics , it helps a lot to prevent blunders (sometimes)...

chess.com uses a matching algo which promotes “streaky” play. youll win a few in a row regardless of ratings, then lose a few in a row regardless of ratings

Same thing happened to me over today and yesterday. A couple of days ago I was winning like crazy. I got up over 1400 and now I’ve dropped back into the 1200 range. I typically try to analyze why this is happening. First, I go to Tactics Just to really confirm that I’m playing poorly. Boy am I playing poorly. I couldn’t see a tactic to save my life; I just kept losing points. I’m now in the 900 range for Tactics. By the way, tactics is an excellent barometer to use to help you decide if you want to play that day or not. If Tactics shows you’re playing poorly, then perhaps you don’t want to risk losing, losing and losing to other players. And that brings me to my next point: I try to look at what’s going on in my life that might be affecting my game. I’ve been exercising considerably more, which is causing me to be exhausted and I’ve also been eating a lot more sugar, which is bad. I think too much sugar can have a negative affect on your thinking process. And here’s some irony, I have been eating a lot less overall, even though when I do eat I’ve been having more sugar. That’s REALLY bad. Eating less, I.E. dieting, can cause brain fog and when you add exhaustion from exercise and eating too much sugar, that explains my current condition.

So what do I need to do? Eat less sugar, more healthy and try to be more moderate about my exercise. I also need to sleep better and have a more consistent sleeping schedule. I’m going to check out Tactics periodically and as soon as I am doing better at Tactics I’ll start playing again.

I tend to do more tactics on my bad days! I believe you should improve your strength when your brain is fatigued. Like improving brain stamina or something. I heard US navy seals are trained this way. They make them run miles on sleep deprivation.

On my bad days i'll just go to a retail store and make some free ninety-nine purchases.   I've never had to "run" but maybe i'll make things more challenging for me.  thanks for the tip!!
