Give the guy some slack. Haave you never ever yelled or banged your fist on the table, like a demented man?!?

I remember when Anad blew up when some journalist pestered him about the meaning of I will do my best (in the next games). Kasparov ran off the stage after losing a blitz game against Anand.

GMs are people, too. Allow them to be imperfect. To show weaknesses. Would you rather have someone smile like a phony?

I can't say that I have.  Is it your position that all mankind is incapable of controlling tantrums? ;)

I don't really get emotional about long games, I can stay calm in them regardless of the situation.  However when I play bullet something about the psychology of moving so fast turns me into a madman.  I have broken several objects in my room and kicked a hole in my wall after bullet games.

Probably bullet only engages the emotional side of the brain. It goes too fast for a lot of analytical thinking.

Of course not.

But obviously I have never been playing for big amounts of money against top players.

In that case I would understand if somebody freaked out during the game and started yelling and banging his fist on the table.

Getting crushed coram publico, with an audience and afterwards the interview?

Don't you think it's only human if GM N. disappears and won't smile when he feels like crying?
