I am looking at grandmaster games and tips from them saying to play Bf1/Bf8 but I don’t see the point ? Are you trying to fienchetto ? It seems that you are suffocating yourself so please can someone answer please.
It depends on the situation, doesn't it? Why don't you post one of the positions where you saw such a recommendation?
