Why Does Chess.com Keep Pairing Me With People 200-300 Points Lower Game After Game??

The seek graph settings thing only dictates the level of seeks that you can view.

It doesn't affect who can actually accept your seek.

This is the thing that dictates the rating parameters of the people that can accept your seeks.

I decided to try out my new knowledge just now. It worked. But the pairing took about 1 full minute then I got a 2000+ opponent. I'm tired of this. Chess.com needs to 1) fix their rating distribution which is insanely lopsided to the lower end, 2) fix the pairing issue if they want more subs, and 3) do their job to address the insane amount of cheaters.

1732 blitz rating = 96.1 percentile. What a joke! 

I never have any of these problems on l.ichess. I'll try chess.24 next. I can't imagine there is a worst site than chess.com to play chess.

I understand why your annoyed but "worst site ever" is a tad harsh. It tries it's best and sometimes lots of people won't be online. Please give chess.com another chance. I bet won't find better anywhere. It's top-rated by multiple browsers and an amazing site. So if you do find another site, hardly anyone else will be on it.   pleading eyes?

2. What you need to think about is the fact that another site will have just as much lag unless you change your wifi which you could do while staying on chess.com.
3. I am going to report you and get chess.com to convince you if I can't.

Thanks for the heads up you corporate shill. I opened this account to follow certain titled players that are primarily chesscom users and that's what I intend to do.

I've got a login but I've never been a member. I just like to play Blitz chess. I've never had the problem with ratings-matching that you describe. 

One time, I inadvertently clicked an (undesired) option and it followed me for my next two logins. After I cleared the cookie file, it stopped. Have you tried clearing cookies?
