You have to get PGN, not FEN.
Think of pgn as a movie, which represent the whole game.
FEN is a snapshot of a moment in the game.

kleelof, there is a way of doing it but it's something of a 'work-around' & a little untidy! I'll assume you know how to download the PGN file of the game you want:-
1) Open the PGN file in a text editor such as Notepad & copy the entire thing to the clipboard.
2) Open the Analysis Board Editor in a new tab/window if possible & click on the Paste PGN button. Paste the PGN into the pane that will have opened & follow the instructions to load it onto the virtual board.
3) Switch to Game Editor mode by clicking on that tab & use the cursor buttons to position the game on the move you want.
4) Switch to Position Setup mode & 'nudge' any pawn/piece on the board (i.e. move something very slightly but leave it on the same square).
5) Click on Copy FEN to Clipboard & the FEN string of the position you selected appears in a new pane. Copy it to clipboard & you can paste it anyway you want to.
* The Analysis Board Editor can also be found on the 'More' pop-up menu under Game Editor!
It is possible to write FEN strings yourself & I do it all the time. There's some very good information if you Google FEN string.
If any of that is unclear, just ask & I'll explain it in more detail :-)
After you finish a game, you have the option to copy the FEN.
However, this FEN seems to only be the final position.
Is there a way to get it from a specific position in a game?
I tried clicking on the move number, but it did not change the FEN.
