Glicko System

People improve. People keep improving. I think this website has done a poor job with rating, its too easy to lose when you're off and keep losing and then you have to win all the points back. There's no sense of progression because people can swing down where in the elo system there would be a definite floor. Maybe floors are bad for chess, maybe they're really good. I prefer the elo system because the glicko system is so terrible, because it doesn't account for people improving.

I dont really see how what you are saying makes any sense... If you win more than you lose your rating will improve. What is the problem? Yes if you lose your rating goes down. If you improve you should win more than you lose, until your rating goes up enough where you win approximentely as many games as you lose.
