goals

All about the Benjamin's baby!
2000 would suit me fine. But I'm a realist, I'll probably never go over 1800 OTB.

Right now, my USCF rating has dropped from the 1400's to 1300's, so my short term goal is to get back above 1400. Longer term, I'd like to hit 1500 by the end of the year or shortly thereafter (maybe by March is realistic, given how many tournaments are coming up and the amount of practice and study I'm doing). And I'd like to get up above 1800 at some point in my life, eventually striving to find the upper limit of my ability.

By the time I'm in college (4 years), I'd like to have around a 1800, at least for my online rating, because there aren't enough tournaments around where I live for me to get an accurate rating. By the time I graduate, I'd like to have at least 2000, and I'd like it to keep going up from there, but I know that probably won't happen for long.

what is your goal rating?
mine happens to be 1600
(dont post if you think chess is not all about ratings)
