For mure $0.17 a day you can have a paid membership and no ads  Just saying

I'm not seeing the ads... but it seems i have to download them anyway...

Run adblocker in your browser. I do and I have gone into Inspect then Adblocker selected all and can see the continuous stream of ads being blocked. There is lots of them but my browser doesn't load any of them ??

I do think v3 has real issues especially with the social group aspects, but I also agree with Riker that for even a student without lots of funds, paying is relatively cheap if you are going to use this site much, I do need to make more use of my paid membership and my time is getting less on site and v3 is not helping, but v3 is generally better for actually playing chess, I go back and forth between the two but prefer v2 overall

I switch to V3 to play variants and some tournaments, but other than that, I always use V2

If you pay by the year it is even cheaper at $29 a year

V3 may kill the forums, and that will not be all bad, I guess.

Question will there be players that dont pay V3 like V2

Sure you can still have a non paid account which then also has ads.

what do you mean by this? Are the forums hard to find?

Martin_Stahl

Other than a few cosmetic things, the forums are the same on v2 and v3 so not sure how that would kill the forums frustrated.png

I want to try member support, but I have a question. I am really busy with school and band on weekdays (and sometimes weekends), so how active do you have to be for this job?

Is there anything else that comes with the job, like admin powers, or one of those little staff banner things next to my username?

One more question. Do you get paid, and if so how much, and what bank account would the money go to? (I will be willing to do it regardless)

30 hours a week is the time required.

IlMave

Can anyone here tell me what a bad ad is?

kco

is when you see a couple of boobs.

I read that as basically there are people that feel that everything the site does should be perfect and free and be backwards compatible with all old hardware/software combinations. Not that the site is that way.

If we have an agreement that you send over a pizza every Saturday, then I am not going to be happy if you start sending iced doughnuts.

camter

I have used the survey to convey my feelings very clearly. Provision is there for it if you read closely.

I have a bottom line, the speed must improve, and glitches on live Chess will not be tolerated by me if they want me to remain an active, paying member.
