Run adblocker in your browser. I do and I have gone into Inspect then Adblocker selected all and can see the continuous stream of ads being blocked. There is lots of them but my browser doesn't load any of them ??

I do think v3 has real issues especially with the social group aspects, but I also agree with Riker that for even a student without lots of funds, paying is relatively cheap if you are going to use this site much, I do need to make more use of my paid membership and my time is getting less on site and v3 is not helping, but v3 is generally better for actually playing chess, I go back and forth between the two but prefer v2 overall

Sure you can still have a non paid account which then also has ads.
V3 may kill the forums, and that will not be all bad, I guess.
what do you mean by this? Are the forums hard to find?
Other than a few cosmetic things, the forums are the same on v2 and v3 so not sure how that would kill the forums 
I want to try member support, but I have a question. I am really busy with school and band on weekdays (and sometimes weekends), so how active do you have to be for this job?

I read that as basically there are people that feel that everything the site does should be perfect and free and be backwards compatible with all old hardware/software combinations. Not that the site is that way.
