Good resources for slav/semi-slav?

Sort:

I've tried youtube, the videos are quite mediocre. An online article or video would be ideal.

Thanks in advance.

Avrukh, Sakaev, and Dreev are the most recent manuals for reference, if a little advanced. If I had to choose one, I think Avrukh would be a good investment. Pert's Chessbase DVD is also decent, but I'd supplement it with a book. Bologan and Kritz also have DVDs on the Chebanenko. I've also found Vigus' book on the Classical Slav to be useful, but I'll probably refer to Avrukh more now. Chesspublishing is also a useful resource. There are a lot of really bad videos on YouTube and a few good ones once in a while (chessexplained comes to mind, but he has not done videos on the Slav).

do you want it for black or for white?

For black, Vigorito's book is very good. It's for high rated players so it might be harder to read than others.

It's a black repertoire with the semislav. He gives both the Moscow and the Botvinnik so you can choose.
