Not even Paul Morphy or Capablanca in their prime dropped into our time could, enough said.
i very very strongly disagree, I think that Capablanca in his prime would be over 2600 FIDE at least.

He was a pretty amazing chess player and his cute playing style always makes his games a joy to study. However, modern GMs have made their way through Dvoretsky's books, ECE, improve upon Kasparov and others' opening theory, study with computers, and in general have so many modern training tools. I'm pretty sure Capablanca would make it to GM, it probably wouldn't be immediately given the advances in chess.
As for the original topic....
I suppose the short answer is the one that's obvious: no.
The long answer?
Depends on whether you can earn all three GM norms in time to beat the three-month deadline! And since you'd be starting at the very bottom of the rating pool (assuming you haven't played in live tournaments enough to obtain a rating) then the answer is, again, no.
Hope that helped. :)
And if you want to know how easy it is to earn the three GM norms, we have enough titled players on this site that we can ask them ourselves! To anyone who currently has, or is close to obtaining, the GM norms, could you describe the journey you took/are undertaking to obtain it? Could it be narrowed down to a three-month deadline?
This is a truly weird assumption/guess/whatever ,if you play for nine hours a day you should easily make it in two months, obviously playing bullet will mean you get there even faster. Unless by 'GM' you don't mean ' Great Moron'
Oh wait ,I see you are talking about 'moths' not 'months' then my answer is 'dunno' never tried moths ...is it an hallucinogenic?

Well, nobody had done the whole "moth to a flame" bit...It was impossible to pass up.
And, I work at Circle K, btw. Gotta represent.
