additionaly dr.Vladimir Klischko world heavy weight champion is a very good chessplayer and good friend of Kramnik...

Yes ofc there is a correlation Klitschko won his title by beating on of the 2 greats Lennox (the other one being Holyfield) and he became champion, oh well didnt beat him at all, he just became champion. Anyway and Euwe has beaten a drunk Alekhine.
But on a serious note, many people like fighting, so its no wonder there a chessplayer that are boxer or have boxing friends.There are also Taekwondo fighters who play chess, or chess players who might have the olympia taekwondo winners as friends. Same goes for kickboxing or any other combative fighting sport.
